I found David Poe on Instagram and immediately fell in love with his art style. After following him on Instagram for quite a bit, I saved up enough money to start my own sleeve with him! He's extremely personable, friendly and enthusiastic about his work. I love every sketch presented, and find the whole experience to be enjoyable. Can't wait to continue to work with him to complete my new piece. Thanks again Mr. Poe!

I found David Poe on Pinterest while searching for Austin-based tattoo artists specializing in cross-hatching/detailed linework. I looked him up on Instagram and felt like I'd struck gold - his style was exactly what I'd been looking for. I often find tattoo artists to be intimidating but David was nothing of the sort. He was super nice and we easily kept conversation going for the nearly three hours I was in his chair. David artfully interpreted a beautiful photograph of my friends in the bathtub and the resulting tattoo had a perfect hand-drawn, illustration sort of quality. Exactly what I wanted. It looks like an ink drawing on my arm. I can't wait to collaborate with him on something else permanent!
