Best Place We've Lived in the USA — Montecito Apartments, Rancho Cucamonga We lived here for several years, and I can honestly say this is the best place we've lived in the United States. Writing this as we move out of state, and genuinely sad to leave. LOCATION & SETTING Nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, right below Cucamonga Peak. Edit 10/2025. 7 years at Montecito and a great place I called home. But sadly moving to be closer to family. Office Staff and Maintenance crew are friendly and reliable. Clean property, continued upgrades to the amenities and landscaping is beautiful and always maintained. Quiet and neighbors are pleasant. Moving out process was simple and moving out fees were fair in my opinion. Definitely recommend Montecito Apartments.

In the two years we lived here the place went downhill. Certain people living in it leaving their trash and bikes all over everywhere making what started as a nice clean community look like the projects. Constantly finding cigarette butts outside of our staircase. Then when you move out the I’ll lie right to your face and nickel and dime you out of your deposit and then lie to you over the phone when you call and ask about it. Two years ago it was great.
