Horrible visit. Left crying. Went to get rosacea checked out and left with a acid face wash my sisters found off of Tik tok for acne. I went to this clinic because of the great reviews for another dermatologist that worked there and ended up with him. Did not listen to a single concern or question. Told me I had a “complicated face” and that it was weird it wasn’t responding to typical medications. I know Dr. Meltzer has little to say about the shared admin staff but it is rather slowwwww. He is better than most doctors but memory like I cannot do hydrocortizone, I react to it, and he always tries to give it to me!!lol. Good at looking for melanoma and skin cancers on me. Not the worst by far, knowledgeable but not the best...I will give him an A for effort and years in practice. I would recommend him as the best in this location.
I went in to see him for a scalp condition. He looked at my loc’d hair and told me I needed to wash it more often. He did’t ask any questions about other physical symptoms, or how often I wash my hair. Turned out it was an issue with hormones. Maybe a more thorough exam would have been helpful. I think he needs to retire.
Horrible bedside manner. Tried to push birth control on me after I said I didn't want it. Also told me I'd never get into medical school, which I did.
My son had recurring toe infection for which we go to his primary for treatment. This time I decided to go to a specialist, a dermatologist. Well, what a waste of $40 copay. Barely even looked at it, didn’t even ask about the previous occurrence, and just declared there was no infection, and to just put Vaseline on it. Seriously? Should’ve gone back to our PCP instead!
I have trusted Dr. Meltzer and his staff for several years now. Extremley friendly and efficient staff. Dr. Meltzer is spot on with his diagnosis and treatment.
Very poorly run office. Do not answer phone often. Do not inform patients fully of diagnosis. Trying to switch as soon as possible.
After arriving early and being kept waiting for 45 min past my appointment time without word, I asked when I might be seen. I was told that "I was next." 10 min later I was seen. I mentioned it was frustrating to wait so long, to which the doctor stated that "He can't help that all the patients decided to show up today." We then switched topics to my health to which he remembered nothing despite this being a follow-up appointment. He didn't remember where my ailment even was.
Dr. Meltzer schedules his appointments at 8am however he does not bother to show up in the morning until after 9:30. Do not schedule unless you have time to kill. Staff acts as if that is acceptable.
