Open to the public since 2004, Montana Grizzly Encounter invites you to watch, learn and interact with the grizzlies in a safe environment. Watch as Brutus, Sheena and Bella, the resident bears, bask in the early morning sun, and later visit the gift shop to buy a few souvenirs to remember these grizzlies by.

Great experience and very knowledgeable.
We stopped by and saw the two 12 year old bears. We stayed for over an hour and found the entire experience educational and very interesting. What an awesome place for neglected bears to live out their most natural lives as possible. If you’re going to Yellowstone, definitely stop by and if you have kids, make it a priority!

My husband, son, and I had an amazing time today at the sanctuary! We have been planning on coming for the last couple years and finally made it today. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the stories about the different bears, and about Bella being a bit of a stinker this morning, shoving stuff in the drain and going to torment Sheena. Goofy girl! It was awesome to see the enrichment provided for the bears, and the amount of love and care you have for them. We’ll be back!
