What an awesome program! We learned about this while visiting the keys and able to add it to our plans. We arrived just as it was opening so had to wait a little bit. The staff were friendly, the enclosures clean, and the animals clearly well cared for. We got to watch the capybara enjoy his banana leaves, hold a ferret, and got chased around by a giant tortoise. Free, donations recommended, spot to take smaller kids to see some animals. They can hold an alligator and pet several other animals. Nice place to spend half an hour or so with under 10 kids.
Really fun for kids and adults. Rescued animals -- many abandoned, disabled, or just needing a home -- living good lives.
