My niece was born here. She was born at 26 week's. I'm so blessed she was born here. I pretty much lived in Vanderbilt's children's hospital when I was a child. They truly saved my life many times. I was born with a rare deformity and I got sick easily with very high fevers. Me and my family lived in Michigan till I was 3. My mom told me while we lived up there, the hospitals there didn't know why I kept getting sick and so they would leave me in a room to die. Once we moved here, I got sick like always and they took my to Vandy and they instantly worked to get my high fever down and run some test to see what was causing it. I kept getting kidney infections. When I was 6 we went and saw a urologist. They said my bladder wouldn't expand and it the urine backed up into my kidneys. When I was 8 I had surgery there. I still got sick easily but that wasn't fixable. But each time, they acted quickly. I owe them my thanks for saving me and my beautiful niece.
