Paid for VW heads in March of 2023. Contacted multiple times for delivery. Finally was told that the heads were going to be shipped early 2024. No product delivered. No refund given. Waiting for refund.
I paid for a complete engine in May, 2022. Initially, they'd stated it would take roughly 20 weeks to build. I've received nothing but excuses as to why it hasn't been shipped yet - 2 years and 4 months later... They knew when they took my money, that they didn't have and weren't able to get bearings, engine cases, and other vital components to build an engine - yet they told well over 100 people they could have an engine built in 16-20 weeks. In January of 2023 I set up a full engine rebuild for my 1968 auto stick volkswagen convertible. I just received the engine 1 yr and 9 1/2 months later. I spent many hours calling to ask how the engine build was coming, many excuses came my way. I was always amazed and had to continue to look back at my original order to make sure I was correct. Pre purchased an engine from them over 3 months ago. Was told that it would be shipped out in 3 weeks. After several attempts to call to see where the status was on the engine I was treated poorly over the phone. They lied to me and stated that they would never tell a customer that it was never 3 weeks out and that it was more like a month. Gave them money money for a transmission on 10-26-22. Told me a minimum of 12 weeks to build transmission. Called and talked to the owner to see if I could get a refund. He said now refunds and talked over the top of me. Still waiting to hear from them about my transmission.
Ordered a set of heads11/28/17, was told 4-5 days until ready. I emailed on 12/20, Roy said tool broke and it would be another day or two. Emailed 1/4, he said he just got the tool. 1/17, finally received the heads, noticed cracks on intake valve guide bosses, he said it would be fine. I have apologized for the broken tool multiple times. This happened during the holiday's where many shops were closed or were open very little. Extreme delay's during the two weeks of Christmas and New Years are not uncommon in any industry. As for the heads, I explained that we now machine the heads differently than in the past. The customer doesn't know the brand of valve cover he is using and I just built multiple engines using this style valve cover with no problem. I have had nothing but positive experiences with all the folks I have dealt with at Mofoco. On time , on price,no leaks ,runs smooth. I ordered a complete 2110 for my split window double cab after my 1776 worked out so well in my square back.
I purchased a transaxle from Mofoco Enterprises in Dec 2015 (rebuilt) after searching online. I did check with your BBB Business Review and they had a A rating. Well the first time I took the bug out on the road it popped out of 4th gear and I new something wasn't right. It would also lock up in a gear while shifting the gears sitting still and not running. It's hard for me to respond to these allegations as the customer refused to send us pictures. What I can say with 100% certainty, this was a high performance transmission with brand new parts installed. The high performance parts never came stock so we couldn't install used ones. The customer was also doing a conversion from an automatic car to a manual car. This is tricky and if any linkage was not installed correctly; the car could jump out of gear.
