I’ve really enjoyed my time at The Modern on M. The building is well taken care of, and the amenities make everyday life more convenient. The staff is welcoming and responsive, and it feels like they genuinely care about residents and keep things running pretty smoothly. The location is also a major plus because it’s close to restaurants, stores, and the train station, so it’s easy to get around without a car. Impossible to contact management and get a response from them. No AC in September in the classic buildings even though it’s still in the 80s and 90s. The concierges also seem to hate whenever residents need help with something and act very rude, like you are ruining their day just by asking a question. Also had a $200 package stolen and they can’t seem to do anything to help locate it because the security cam footage isn’t stored for more than a couple weeks.

Me and my family thought about moving to the Modern apartments but from reading all of the bad reviews about the Modern apartments sounds pretty bad. We were looking for a nice clean and safe environment where there's no smoking or loud music no mice issues. So I don't think this is a place we will consider moving to because we're me and my family is living at now is pretty much got the same bad reviews that we should have listened to but we moved in any way we do not want to have anymore bad experiences wherever we chose to... read more
I have lived here for well over twenty years and this management team has better communication than the others I have experienced. The concierge team has gone above and beyond the things I’ve asked of them. Yes things could always be better but I have seen worse communities.
