I went here because they have convenient Saturday hours and since I work downtown I have to find a place open on Saturday. The Staff was great and I loved Dr. Castro. Kim and Lanette helped me with glasses and they are such fun. I felt like they were my best friends.
The OFFICE MANAGER Kim is RUDE and terrible, she filed the claim to the insurance very late and also collected the whole charge amount upfront. have no courtesy manners to talk to the customers. too bossy and uncivilized person. Be Aware !!!!
Ive been going to Modern Family Vision for several years. The staff has always been friendly and they greet you as though they see you every day instead if yearly. I love the way they make you feel like a member of the family. The other day I got a piece of metal in my eye sharpening my lawnmower blade. I called them and they said come in right now. I went in and the office was very busy but they worked me in. I GOT TO SEE THE DOCTOR IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES! Imagine how long I would have had to wait at the ER! Thanks Modern Fami... read more
Allens best eyedoc – I came to MFV this past Saturday and my eye was very red. As soon as I walked in they took me back and treated my eye. I was shocked and very please they were able to see me so fast. They figured out my insurance and only charged me a $30 co-pay. They did all this for me and I walked in 30 minutes before they were to close. I will be coming back for my regular exam. Thanks Dr. Castro and the staff and Modern Family Vision.
The office manager is terrible – The doctor we normally see, Mary E. Leazure, O.D., is very nice. However, the office manager Kim is terrible, and we are leaving them to another vision care provider just because of her. She lied to us several times. She promised to submit insurance claim and never did. She canceled appointment because our son was 9 minute late, although in the past several occasions we waited close to an hour or more, without complaining. She is also very rude, when you point the shortcomings.
Allen's best eye doctor – I can not thank you Modern Family Vision and Kim enough for suggesting that I try Digital Lenses for my eyeglasses. I was a little reluctant at first and hesitant to upgrade to digital lenses. My first thought was that I wear my contact lens most of the time and I did not think the difference, if any, would really matter or even be noticeable on those few occasions when I would wear my eyeglasses. Best Dr. Appointment ever – What a great staff I HATE picking out frames but the ENTIRE staff at Modern Family Vision was so helpful. They have the biggest selection of frame ANYWHERE, they showed me some frames that were 59.00 and some that were 700.00 the ones I picked were 289.00 and they gave me an extra 50.00 on top of my insurance allowance of 120.00 so I got 180.00 off plus the 20% my VSP gives me so the frames cost me 87.00 and I just picked them last week and I LOVE THEM I have already got 3 compliments and i never ... read more
My trip to Modern Family Vision – body I woke up Saturday morning and my eye was very red and painful I called my regular eye doctor in Allen and they told me they were booked and suggested I go to the ER. So I called around and got Modern Family Vision on the phone they seemed VERY concerned and told me to come in right now. Amazing experince – I was looking for some glasses. I found the ones I LOVED. They ordered them for me. I find out they are in limited addition. The Offce Manager, Kim I think is her name, searched the entire US for this frame and found it. Got it to me with the best lenses I could ever hope for. I LOVE MY GLASSES. How many people can say that?!?!!?!? This is the definition of customer service! I came there as a referal from a friend, Now I see why.
