expensive Moda is very expensive for the area it is located in. It is in a college town but charges spa/salon prices. However, the cuts are terrific and the staff is very hip and friendly. They have a great eye for haircuts that will compliment every individual. The atmosphere is calm and clean. If you have the money, try it.
Horrible Hair Color I went to Moda because it is in the neighborhood. I brought photos with me of the exact color I wanted. Tayna the colorist told me should wouldn't color my hair unless I agreed to highlights because it doesn't "look natural". I really just wanted an over all matte color, but agreed to let her do highlights because she was the "expert". Rutgers Student Opinion of Moda Very Pleased!! I've been to various hair salons before and I think Moda is the first hair salon I truly have ever walked out of happy. Tanya is an excellent colorist. I am a 22 year old female blonde and I've never had anyone treat my color so well. I'd recommend her to anyone!
Best Hair Cut Ever!!!! This was my best experience yet. Im extremely picky about my hair and was hesitant to try someone new. I love Aveda products and decided to give Moda Hair Salon a try. They use and sell only Aveda. Tasneem gave me a fantastic cut and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. I was so impressed, I will be going back for color. The salon itself had a great vibe and all the hairdressers were very personable.
Moda Hair Salon has the BEST STYLIST IN TOWN! I just wish to share with everyone that Moda Salon has the best style, staff and expertise. They are fun, enthusiastic and very well trained. Moda Hair Salon did a Great Job!!!! Finally someone got it right!!!! Moda Hair Salon in New Brunswick, NJ is all that. I got my hair high lighted by Tanya and it came out amazing!!! She knew exactly what I was looking for. I have been to a few different colorists but Tanya really knew what she was doing. I highly reccommend her. I got my hair cut by Josh and loved it as well. Mrs. I call Tonya at Moda the "color whisperer". If you want great color, book her now. She takes her time and gets it right and it is worth every minute she spends on you. Call me crazy but I would travel across country for her to do my hair, and I have. Natalie and Henry are always so nice, so I feel like I am visiting friends!
