a Must See Mitsuwa is the largest Japanese grocery store in Torrance. There is another one in Santa Monica but that one is much smaller and have less selections. This place comes with a huge food court that serves authentic Japanese food for a quick stop as well as a bakery, suvenior shop, a cosmetic department that sells Shiseido, cell phone store, book store, video store, bank, travel agency and an electronics/ceramic shop.
A grocery store which caters to a Japanese expatriate clientele. The products they stock are pricey, but a wide variety of Japanese food stuffs keep regulars coming back. Also at this site are a Japanese bookstore, a small food court, and other businesses.
Japanese Marketplace When you step into Mitsuwa you feel like you have left California. There are Japanese shops, places to eat, and groceries. Plan on staying a few hours because there is so much to see and try!
xD I love Mitsuwa! A japanese friend of mine used to buy used mangas from there and I ended up completing my rurouni kenshin manga collection. I also found a whole bunch of j-rock cd's of artists i really like. I so hope they still sell Ramune in their supermarket.
Mitsuwa Marketplace We often go to Mitsuwa to pickup sushi grade fish when we make sushi at home. The fish is always fresh and very tasty. Just had lunch at one of their food stalls - the tempura was delicious and the sashimi was fresh - all at a good price. Would recommend.
Sushi and Sake galore I always enjoy visiting this market. The variety is good. Their clerks are very helpful and knowledgeable, and the selection is not all extra pricey. There are small "fast-food" booths and tables inside in case you have the opportunity to buy lunch!.
Mitsuwa Marketplace is great You can find everything readily at this market. We always get the ramen when they are on sale. They rarely run out of everything. The vegetables and fruit are always fresh. Fun place to shop, reminds of Japan (Natsukashi. : )
Mitsuwa Great selection of Japanese groceries. I like the quality of the fruits and vegetables. A little pricey, but I think it's worth it. For added convenience, there is a food court in the complex.
Japanese Market Unlike Marukai, this supermarket is free (no annual membership!) The aisles were clean, it's always very well stocked and the sales are pretty good. They also have extra 10% off for seniors on Monday-Wednesdays. The big food court area has freshly made Japanese food. It's always pretty busy during lunch time. PROS: No membership CONS:
