I use to go to the Mitral Valve Prolapse Center When Dr. Philip Watkins was in charge. He was my Dr. And I mean he was an Awesome doctor with much Compassion and empathy for his patients. I felt like he had saved my life when he diagnosed me in 1990 with MVP. I had always wondered why everybody else could run up and down the beach without passing out or bending over without passing out. After so long I just learn to live with it. Dr Watkins diagnosed me with Dysautonomia and Mitral valve prolapse and POTS ove 10 yrs ago. I had suffered for 15 years of symptoms that Doctors often misdiagnosed as anxiety attacks and they would load me up on antidepressants and send me on my way, often completely missing the real problems. Dr Watkins is a brilliant man who knew exactly what was wrong and why my body behaved differently from other people.
