Dr. Galerkin is a great doctor. As my doctor for 27 years I can’t say enough about his quality of care. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
For over 14 years Dr. Galerkin has treated my bipolar. He listens and involves you in your treatement. I have always felt as if my treatment was a team effort. For many of "us" it feels great to be more than just a diagnosis. I am firmly convinced that there is an "art" to psychiatry as well as pharmacology. Dr. Galerkin is an "artist". I highly recommend!
Dr. Galerkin cares about my wellbeing. He does have strict office policies, but is fair and extremely knowledgeable. He is easy to talk with and listens to my opinions in order to prescribe the best medications that helps me live a happier life. I would recommend him.

I've seen Dr G. for 20 years. He has thoughtfully and thourouly treated my Bipolar Disorder with compassion and kindness. He consistently knows the appropriate medication for my and is extremely knowlageble. Always on time, always responsive, always knowledgeable. As a mental health professional myself I can only give the highest rating to this doctor.

All he ever did in months of 20-minute weekly appointments was type on his tablet and prescribe too much medication—zero understanding of or help with the patient’s serious mental illness. When the patient had a psychiatric crisis, he told the caregiver to take him to the ER for possible over medication. Patient never saw or spoke with him again.
I have suffered from severe depression for almost 30-years. I have been to many, many psychiatrists and psychologists during this time - From Kaiser quacks to ego-tripping divas. Approximately two decades ago, I started going to Dr. Galerkin - he has improved my life immeasurably. He has worked with me consistently through dark times, to fine tuning medication. Give him a try - he will change your life.
Would not recommend this doctor. No one answers the phone after 4 so if you try to call them they don’t pick up. Had an appointment and there was a bad accident that caused me to be 13 minutes late, I called 4 times no one picked up the phone, and when I got there the girl just said “oh I must have been on the phone”. The office staff is non existent, they never know what they are doing. I have been seeing Dr. Galerkin for over 15 years, after attempting many other psychiatrists, to no avail. Dr. Galerkin is extremely knowledgeable, thorough,compassionate... only wanted the best help for the road of recovery and stabilization. I have the utmost respect and trust in Dr. Galerkin.
