Bad ER experience at Mission in June 2022. Family member in horrible pain due to kidney infection. Admitting staff: rude, unprofessional. Trash cans overflowing. We were there from midnight until 7 am, around 4 am she was taken into the actual ER, put on a bed in the hallway. Other patient, very ill and vomiting had door open for all to see. No dignity. Finally got IV and pain med. Her pain was 9 out of 10 and she was sobbing, NOT drug seeking. Terrible experience, staff seemed burned out and not compassionate.
My wife was in fetal position pain in her gut.... had not been able to go to the bathroom for days.... could not sit without being in immense pain. They made her sit for SIX HOURS and never even looked at her or asked her a question. Did blood work, in SIX HOURS, she was crying in fetal position on the chair that she could not sit in and nobody said or did a thing. Worst experience ever, she could have just died in there.
