I was transferred from Providence Mission Hospital Laguna Beach, to have an MRI & i believe CT Scan, before 3am. The Ambulance that brought me, with 2 nice young men were told, we had to wait in the emergency room, tull my results were ready. Im literally in the hallway by the wall, nurses, doctors, staff pass by and just look at me or ignore me and the 2 young men that brought me. My son was admitted from school, and given the circumstances, we expected timely, respectful, and professional medical evaluation. Unfortunately, our experience was far from acceptable. The Physician Assistant who attended us was extremely unprofessional. She spoke in a rude and dismissive manner and did not take the time to explain what was being evaluated or what the concerns were. Unhelpful staff and always a long wait, even when no one is in the ER. Drive another 15 minutes and go to Hoag.
Terrible experience... ER check-in super slow by security, waited like 25min for initial evaluation... Then, went to get the status of a swab exam and I got the entrance nurse with an attitude "this is an ER" as I was asking for my 18-month old baby who was throwing up... Ridiculous, especially if you come from San Diego hospital systems... I prefer to drive 1h to San Diego (when possible) for my son... I don't write reviews too often, but I had to write this one because my son is still sick and they sent us back home withou... read more
The upper management needs to rethink how they treat their staff. They are very rude and inconsiderate. They only care about the hospitals image.
