Mission BBQ is a great choice when you want real tex-mex and don't have the time to cook it yourself! We got the three meat platter - brisket, pulled port and smoked turkey. Next time we will pass on the smoked turkey - it's a little dry. Friends had the ribs and they are done with a dry rub - very tender and moist. We had mac and cheese and fries. It was our first visit at any Mission BBQ and we loved it. The lean brisket, the classic sausage and our sides, except for the fries, were very delicious. Being able to choose between six sauces at your table is great. And the soft drinks don’t taste funny because the machines are being cleaned daily and the water filters are being changed frequently. Thank you to Dan and Ingrid.
While the service was very good I have to say I was disappointed by the food. The brisket was dry even though I ordered it "moist". Also got a kids meal with ribs; also on the dry side. I think the meat is just being overcooked. Collard greens were fairly tasteless. I've never been a big fan of cornbread but it was probably the the best thing of the meal. Didn't finish any of it. I'll continue my hunt for brisket elsewhere.
First time at MB. What a wonderful experience! We had the BBQ Ribs, Brisket Sandwich, Mac N Cheese, Cornbread Casserole, Cornbread and Mudpie! We felt very welcome, and the food was delicious. You won't ve disappointed!
