I have an axillary nerve entrapment on EMG ordered by Methodist Sports with follow up apt with Dr. Misamore. I was told to go back to Evansville and to review my anatomy as I did not have a shoulder problem. He was yelling and when I asked about the EMG she yelled back it was normal. Due to the axillary nerve entrapment, I have lost the function of the teres minor which controls the motion of the humerus and my statements that I was using my neck to move my arm are true. Our experience with Dr. Misamore was horrible. He was condescending and his nurse was rude. I honestly would not recommend this Doctor. He looks very good on paper but was not helpful. He also gave us a 10 min lecture about arriving at our appointment 5 minutes late. We called ahead to inform his office that we would be 5 minutes late and that the roads were icy. I suffered a badly dislocated shoulder as a kid (early 90’s). Dr Misamore and his staff have done a great job repairing my shoulder. Super friendly, caring staff. Highly recommend.
After a completely wasted visit locally, my husband opted to drive the 2.5 hours to see Dr. Misamore, the shoulder expert recommended by his PT. My shoulder had also been hurting and Dr. Misamore's nurse, Lisa, adjusted the schedule to fit me in at the same time- and was so friendly and upbeat about it.
