I had car trouble last Monday night in Tennessee while on road trip from New England to Louisiana (dash light indicating electronics malfunction came on at a rest stop-- manual advised me to "discontinue my journey") and had to have my Mini towed 100 miles to the nearest dealership, which was Mini of Knoxville. This place looks classy, but then you get to the service dept & quickly realize it's quite trashy! I have been by MINI of Knoxville multiple times for issues. The first time I was there was to have the power steering pump replaced. It was expensive, as I expected. However, there is a safety recall that I brought to the attention of the service staff. I was told there was NOT a recall, but they'd be happy to work on my car & they'd charge me. No thanks. Next, I had to bring the car in for service on the amplifier. They took m... read more
