I highly recommend Dr. Kao. He's very knowledgeable and thorough. He has an excellent working knowledge of pharmacokinetics. For me this is important because I have many drug metabolism issues which in the past doctors treated me like I was making it up. I also have a rarely diagnosed disease that in my first visit Dr. Kao screened me for and gave me my official diagnosis. Totally unprofessional. He is extremely hard to get a hold of. I have been dealing with my insurance for the past 4 weeks trying to get an MRI approved, after Dr. Kao submitted the wrong information to my insurance carrier. I would recommend finding a different doctor, one that can actually be reached should a problem like this arise. I will be filing a formal complaint with Stanford.
