In addition to all the negative reviews about Mike Baird (Mike's professional Tree Service, Coventry, RI), he also hires new people (three that I know of) and puts them to work right away before having them fill out New-Hire paperwork and W-4 form. Mike avoids giving them the paperwork to fill out when asked to do so, then never pays them for the hours they worked when they decide not to work for him anymore. Karma comes back to bite dishonest, corrupt, selfish, greedy people in the ass........always does.
Don't advise to use Mike's Tree Service. Considering our experience with this company, its service is based on dishonesty. The estimate is usually done verbally with a lot of promises to cover a project. When the crew comes it never finishes the project as it was agreed with. They leave a project unfinished in order to extort more money. So, please use other tree service, but never Mikeâ??s Tree service. If you don't have a choice, ask a DETAILED WRITTEN ESTIMATE which will hold your back.
I'm not sure who paid these people to give this company good review. I assume the owner because he has no integrity. He acted in an unprofessional manner when we paid him $300 less than what he quoted us, because; 1. He didn't do what was agreed upon, 2. what he did do was sloppy, and 3. we had to replace a section of our neighbors fence and repaint it, and fix our lawn that had large ruts needing loom and reseeding. I live nearby and see the company trucks all the time. They drive too fast on residential roads and go right through stop signs, barely even slowing down. They're dangerous to the community, children, and other drivers. The owner has been told about these concerns and he says, "We don't speed and we always stop at the stop sign". A neighbor has taken videos of his trucks driving right through intersections with stop signs. No need to add to this post! The consumer got it right and Mike Baird is a bully, that will get what's coming to him because, what goes around, comes around! He is an uneducated bully that can only intimidate and threaten. Stay away from this man and his company and please tell as many people as you an to stay away also!
I just had Mike's tree service cut down trees in my yard after previously using him in the past. I find it hard to believe all the negative comments posted on this site. He quoted me a price verbally and that's what was on the invoice when the job was professionly completed. The workers are very nice and efficient and they don't leave a mess when done. I WILL NEVER DO BUISINESS WITH THIS STERIOD TAKING APE AGAIN........ On to many occasions they have brought me garbage (mulch,bark,and bug infested wood) and just today Mike him self came to my house to take a look at the carpenter ant infested wood that he delivered last week and proceeded to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the wood even though it looked like swiss cheese. Mike was great. Efficient, on time and the job was seamless. I have used Mikes trees service before and will continue to use and recommend.
From the ladies who work in the office, to the agile and might I say amazing guys who climb the trees with the safety straps, Mike's has it all. It truly is rare to have a company live up to its name. Mike's company is extremely professional and the service is unsurpassed. Since becoming disabled, I'm kind of an easy mark. Mike did not take advantage of this unlike some of the competition, and for that, I'm truly grateful.
