Excellent Atmosphere Mike Anserson's is a Baton Rouge legend. The restaurant is a fafvorite of the local business, political, and coaching leaders. Pros: Excellent food Cons: Can be a tad pricey.

RecommendedRecently moved to the area and noticed this place always had a full parking lot- now we know why! Every bite of the meal was delicious from the start with chargrilled oysters to the king cake bread pudding finish. The Bon Temp bread was a cheesy, fluffy, garlic-y cloud of carb-goodness and the shrimp were fresh and flavorful. Everything was lovely the waitress ,the ambiance , and the food. The frozen strawberry and pina Caloda mixed was so delicious!!!
When I’m there I feel so comfortable. The food is excellent,and always delicious. The waitress are so friendly. And the people are very friendly.
Dinner was good. Steak was perfect. I didn’t care for the tanginess of the charbroiled oysters as it was very overpowering; maybe it was Worcestershire or mustard. Can’t put my finger on it but didn’t like that. Our wait time was 45-50 mins. They were packed tonight but all in all a very good dinner.
Met up with high school girlfriends from MS for our Christmas get-together. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Definitely recommend it!
