Different Philly bakeries make my top list for different reasons. If you want sourdough this is THE place to get it (rosemary peppercorn is my fave). Morning buns are great too. The rest--croissants, danishes and most savory options are ok but nothing special. The staff are super friendly. The cafe can get very crowded at times, and I think there are better options for breakfast in the general area.
The most gentrified, performative Italian cafe ever. They served the most simple of foods—sandwiches—at absurdly high prices and offered little variety. No pastas, pizzas, or even most pastries you’d expect to see at such an establishment. The staff were unexpectedly hands off, leaving customers to both steep and sweeten their own (wildly overpriced) drinks.
