Didn’t even give the decency of confronting family face to face. He didn’t disclose to patient or family the size of the brain tumor at the time of surgery. underwent two surgeries and never gave explanation to family. We ended up losing our loved one because this doctor got overwhelmed and tried to play god. Don’t trust this doctor with the well being of one you love. His nurses were wonderful and we could tell they weren’t in Agreement with him.
Dr. Syrquin and his team implanted a spinal cord stimulator for my chronic Arachnoiditis which required an incision along my spine, laminectomy, and pocket for the battery. I felt zero surgical pain after my procedure and the leads were placed perfectly. Not only did the surgery go well, Dr. Syrquin was extremely pleasant to work with.
Was referred for failed back syndrome to get a pain stimulator. Very matter of fact and explained how things worked. The Medtronic rep was fantastic. I felt this was the right decision for me- until the day of surgery. He rushed in while I was in pre op to check my chart and left- didn't even make eye contact with me. After surgery I awoke with the most horrible hip pain and I couldn't feel my left leg. The hospital staff was attentive in helping- I did slowly start to regain feeling. Born with an arachnoid cyst, at the age for 71 it had grown so large it was causing huge problems. Dr. Syrquin explained that a procedure placing a shunt and draining of the cyst was necessary. He was very matter of fact, straight forward explaining the procedure to a very scared old lady. The results were amazing. I. can now see better, headaches gone etc. Would highly recommend Dr. Syrquin, Any child born with this type cyst will be in good hands with this doctor's knowledge and compassion.
Dr. Syrquin removed a tumor from my spinal cord. I wouldn't have trusted anyone else to do the surgery. My recovery time was fast. Dr. Syrquin was very knowledgeable and up front about the procedure. Trust me when I say that he is the neurosurgeon you will want to operate should you ever need one.

He was one of the rudest, most arrogant doctors I have ever seen. I usually have phenomenal care at Essenita. I was warned he was abrupt - that was an understatement. I’ve never been treated like that before at Essenita and I’m flabbergasted he still works there with the way he treats his patients.
Great at what he does. He was upfront of all possible complications and benefits of surgery. He is straight to the point of business.
Was highly recommended by another doctor. He did a great job with the surgery. Would recommend and use him again.
