Dr. Syrquin and his team saved our son's life, and for that, we will be forever grateful. Our son sustained a severe TBI after a motorcycle accident last September. Dr. Syrquin quickly went over with us what needed to be done and preformed the emergency surgery that removed two skull bone plates, allowing space for our son’s brain to swell to prevent further brain injury. I had a 3 cm tumor metastasize from my kidney (clear cell renal carcinoma) that also had gone into my sinus cavity. Dr. Syrquin studied my case, and went over different scenarios that worked for me, not just a general procedure. He made me feel very comfortable, and he was confident he could do the procedure. In the end he was right, he removed the tumor, patched my sinus cavity, patched the hole in my skull with a plate and bone, and I feel and look as good as i possibly can! Dr. Syrquin did a fantastic job with my L4-L5 spinal fusion. In our initial appointment prior to surgery, Dr. Syrquin was very informative, clear, and concise as to what the procedure entails and what to expect regarding recovery. The surgery itself went exactly as planned. After surgery, I was due to spend two nights in the hospital and then be released. After two nights I was struggling with a lot of pain. I went to Dr. Syrquin with terrible nerve pain from a herniated cervical disc. He was straightforward with diagnosis and treatment. Upon waking from surgery the nerve pain was gone, my recovery was quick with little discomfort and the incision healed beautifully. Dr. Syrquin even went above and beyond to make sure my short term disability paperwork was correct. I can’t thank him enough and would recommend him to anyone.
Horrific. My husband went in for a spinal fusion and was left with permanent catastrophic disabilities. After the surgery, Syrquin never showed his face again. Do yourself a favor if you are considering him. Find a different surgeon.
Dr. Syrquin is an exceptional Neurosurgeon. I had an Aneurysm on the right side of my brain that needed to be clipped. The only way was to go through the skull. I had previos Brain Surgery to remove a tumor behind my right eye. This made the surgery a lot more complicated because of the scar tissue. After I went into Delerium & my behavior was terrible. Dr. Syrquin was absolutely fantastic. He solved my back and neck issue completely. I’ve had no issues since my surgery with him and following the care plan he gave to me. He was timely, kind, listened to questions I had and gave clear answers.
