Dr Brown: I waited over an hour only to be lectured to about how my weight would make his job too difficult. It was clear that I needed the hip replacement but his solution was to send a nurse in with a brochure for the Beaumont Weight Clinic while he went next door to see his next patient. I felt as though I had been "fat shamed" and dismissed as someone not worthy of his time.
