To that extent, I have been in their position as the patient, as I have been diagnosed with both Crohn's disease and peptic ulcer disease. I have been through the procedures I perform. This gives me the unique perspective of understanding exactly how it feels to be in the position as a patient. It is important to listen and to have empathy for the feelings and fears that my patients have.

The absolute worst physician I’ve ever seen, abrupt and rude.
Dr Zelig immediately put me at ease, let me interrupt him and throughly explained the further testing I needed. He was not only friendly but exhibited a high wealth of knowledge and experience. In addition, he has a great sense of humor which I dearly needed at this stressful time. I highly recommend.
I don't remember ever seeing a doctor that showed as little interest in my complaint as he did. I waited for more than an hour and when he came into the room he barely acknowledged me. Then ask me why I was there. He seemed distracted and referred to his cell phone for several minutes. He did examine me and said he found nothing wrong. He was very abrupt. I will not be seeing him again ever.
Dr. Zelig is incredibly sensitive with my mother, diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. He treats her with dignity and respect while providing excellent, conservative care. He did not rush her into surgery, taking a wait, test watch approach. His conservative call paid off, surgery was not necessary. I attend medical appointments with my mother from out-of-state. I appreciate that Dr. Zelig's office staff are efficient, timely, and supportive, as well.
