As a gastroenterologist, I believe it is important to understand what my patient is going through. To that extent, I have been in their position as the patient, as I have been diagnosed with both Crohn's disease and peptic ulcer disease. I have been through the procedures I perform. This gives me the unique perspective of understanding exactly how it feels to be in the position as a patient. It is important to listen and to have empathy for the feelings and fears that my patients have.

Dr. Zelig has been my gastro for years. He went through all the necessary tests to have me diagnosed and has been a constant presence since in helping me manage my gastroparesis. He is one of the doctors that you never feel rushed and truly takes his time to make sure he understands what you are going through and takes every step he can to help.
Dr. Zelig was very warm, welcoming, and had a fantastic sense of humor. Didn’t rush through the appointment and took time to teach us things. I really appreciate the amount of work that went into my visit and his staff was also very helpful!
Awesome
Started out as a gall bladder issue, then an ulcer that showed up in colonoscopy continued acute pain he only required more test. after last test a barium swallow. I kept asking for results while still having bouts of Nausea and pain never got results till 3 weeks later. during this time frame of almost 2 months i lost 60+ pounds still no explanation staff is horrible to deal with won' send paperwork to insurance says they never revived it.
I’ve seen Dr Zelig a few times for gi issues including a colonoscopy and a few inspections. Not only is he very gentle but he makes you not feel nervous. Also very informative and an overall great guy!
Office canceled colonoscopy procedure and did not bother to call and tell my mother. Of course she went through the prep for the procedure and was told when we checked in that her appointment was canceled. We were also told this office has recently had repeat same issues with other patients. What kind of doctors office does this? Would NOT recommend him if my life depends on it! His office apparently has big issues.
Long wait times to be seen (over an hour), abrupt, not friendly, dismissive, acted like he didn't believe what I told him.
Dr. Zelig was an attentive listener, thorough in his exam, took time to explain what he thought the issue is and to schedule the proper diagnostic exams to rule out anything else. I am very impressed with his bedside manor. It was a great visit.
Curt, unfriendly, kind of a jerk. Wouldn't recommend.
