Dr. Funderburk really cares for his patients and takes excellent care of them. Would rate him 10 stars if they were available. Absolutely love him. Have seen him for years off and on for different problems. Excellent surgeon and makes you feel at ease, very down to earth, and spends whatever time is needed to explain what is going on and what he recommends and makes sure you understand.
When complications arose, 7 months post surgery, I found Dr. Funderburk to be somewhat patronizing and unable to provide any treatment options. There was absolutely no continuum of care other than to offer pain medications. I was assured prior to surgery that a partial knee replacement was a good fit for me and it should last 10-15 years. Now 15 months later, I’m having to start over with another surgeon.
