I am very pleased with the results of his Mohs surgery. He was very clear in explaining the results of the biopsy and the procedure. He allayed my concerns and followed up personally. I trust his judgement and proficiency
Spent a lot of time with dermos, as I was a lifeguard for a number of years in my yoot. Now, at 75, I'm paying the price for all that delicious UV and that great tan! I found Dr. Shiman knowledgeable (well, he ought to be after all that schooling), responsive and really pleasant to work with. I'll be going back, unfortunately. ;-)
Do not see this Doctor! The absolute worst in caring. Had a terrible reaction to an ointment he prescribed for a skin condition. My skin turned bright red, was burning and peeling. Looked like I had been burned with acid. When I called his office to ask to speak to him I was told by the nurse practitioner who answered that Dr Shiman will not talk to patients. I begged her to allow me to speak to him for just two minutes and she said he would not!
Dr. Shiman is a great clinician & diagnostician. He listens to his patients, is extremely caring, and appears to have a big heart. I am so happy and fortunate to be his patient.
Great doctor. Very satisfied.
