I had shoulder replacement in May and have had 2 follow ups. My next follow up is not until January. It had been feeling better then I did something to my shoulder in mid August and have been in severe pain. I called Dr Bradford's office and explained what had happened only to be given an appointment for 4 weeks later! I asked for a referral for an MRI so I could, at least, have that done before appointment and his MA refused. I was told that if it hurt that bad, go to the ER. Dr. Bradford is an amazing physician. He always make me feel like I am his only patient. He is worth the wait.
My husband had a bi-lateral knee replacement in November. Not many surgeons will even attempt this, but Dr Bradford did a superlative job. The estimated duration of the surgery was correct. Dr Bradford came and spoke to me afterwards and waited to see of I had any questions. His surgical staff introduced themselves and spoke to us before surgery, and we were confident that this was the best possible team. Abrupt, "Why are you here?". I'm RN looking for explanation to current pain problems. Could be ortho or neuro in origin. On the increase, need help with proper dx and treatment. Just looking for a non-surg solution and a cause for problem. This doc was a total bust in my book. A waste of time and money.
Dr. Bradford's surgery and care were excellent for my revision to a total hip replacement. He answered any questions and checked up on me every day that I was in the hospital. For previous surgeries from a different doctor, I did not receive the same personal care.
Failed to promptly mobilize (no walker, no physical therapy) elderly female patient who had suffered a fall, had no fractures but could no longer walk. As a result of unnecessary 37-day immobilization in a wheelchair, patient developed deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of left leg with resulting extensive bilateral pulmonary emboli ultimately resulting in death. Gave me a bum hip replacement and refuses to admit the possibility that he messed up but my hip has dislocated 4 times in the past 8 month and refuses to go in and see whats wrong. Refuses to return calls
