Dr. Ugino is the second hand and wrist orthopedist I've seen. He is excellent., professional and skilled. Very cordial and friendly, asks questions, actively listens. Also, his staff is very efficient from check-in, check-out, x-ray technicians, etc. My visits were completed within 35 minutes from check-in.
Dr. Ugino is very knowledgeable and friendly! He knew exactly what was wrong with my wrist the minute he felt it. I also had my mom and grandmother on the phone because... covid.... and he was sure to make sure all of their questions and concerns were addressed as well. I appreciate his patience and care. I’m very satisfied with the level of care I received. Thanks Dr. Ugino! 10/10 would recommend!
He performed 2 surgeries on my left hand. Has started to treat my right hand for carpal tunnel. He doesn't immediately suggest surgery before looking for alternative treatments. He was very passionate about my surgery and recovery. I recommend him to anyone speaking about pain in their hands.
Would never trust any other orthopedic surgeon to work on my hands but Dr. Ugino. His work is purely amazing, He always makes me feel very comfortable and tells me like it is. I don’t like sugar coating when it comes to the use of my hands!
After suffering from carpal tunnel for over 20 yrs my hand is back fully functional. I'm very happy with my experience with this excellent surgeon and his very competent staff.
Dr. Ugino performed the surgery for Basil Joint Arthritis on one of my thumbs-I have it in both. He was very compassionate and informed in my work up appointments and did not push surgery but left it up to me as to my pain tolerance. Dr. Ugino and his staff were wonderful during my surgery and follow-up.
My mother was recently seen by this physician and we were dissatisfied, in fact, underwhelmed with our visit. He was short tempered and became visibly irritated when she inquired about her plan of action for her continuum of care. He is very impolite and callous. Instead of providing positive feedback to encourage rehabilitation, he gave her a barrage of criticism on her not being a candidate for surgery. He lacks compassion, empathy, and bed-side manners for patients. I would not recommend this
This guy is the best Orthopedic Surgeon around! Take my word for it. He took care of me today and I'm extremely thankful for him.
Dr. Ugino is an exceptionally excellent doctor and surgeon, as well as a kind, caring, and patient man. He operated on my brother twice and was highly recommended. From my first office visit and throughout carpel tunnel surgery, to having the stitches removed today, I do not have a single complaint. The office staff and surgical center were also all excellent. If I could give a 10 star rating instead of a 5, I would. I may be needing carpel tunnel surgery on my other hand and feel safe and relaxed knowing l'll be taken care ... read more
