Dr. Lyster was very informative, he let me tell my thoughts and I immediately I felt a rapport with him. I left the office with some hope and knowing that if my tests came back positive, I was in good caring hands. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Lyster cares and has saved many lives including my life. The residents of our communities are grateful he moved from back east to Arizona. We needed him!
Dr. Lyster took a great deal of time explaining my cancer diagnosis ; he drew diagrams to help me understand how my cancer treatment would go; Dr. Lyster collaborated with other Doctors when necessary, and included my wife in all of his explanations. We found Dr. Lyster very thorough, and importantly to us, he showed himself to be a principled man as well as being a Doctor we would recommend to anyone who needed an Oncologist. My interactions with Dr. Lyster's staff also reflected excellence.
My initial visit with Dr Lyster definitely lowered my stress levels. I came to Dr Lyster from recommendations from my PCP Dr Shirley Noronha. I was experiencing numerous symptoms that was stumping my doctors. Dr Lyster after reviewing ALL my various blood tests and other tests (CTs, Xrays) was fairly confident that I did not have cancer. He patiently explained all my blood tests and what all the numbers meant to him which allowed him to come to his conclusions.
What a wonderful gift to Lake Havasu City and surrounding areas. Dr Lyster is very knowledgeable , highly caring and provides the best solutions for his patients. He takes the time necessary to explain my illness and the best way to treat the rare MCL cancer I have. It isn't curable, but it is treatable. Dr Lyster does not believe in over treating, as some other physicians in this field of medicine have suggested to me. I am still here since first diagnosed over four years ago. He is the best.
Very thorough, very professional, explains things in great detail, and takes time for questions. I was highly impressed.
We winter in Lake Havasu and were referred by a local kidney doctor. We actually saw Dr. R. Douglas Hade to determine if my husband's (Harold) blood work showed signs of blood cancer. His diagnosis was negative, which we were very grateful. Dr. Lyster also came into the room and conferred with Dr. Hade on the complete diagnosis. Both doctors were very thorough and explained everything so we could understand. We were very satisfied with the time they took with us and would recommend them.
Dr. Lyster makes sure he is knowledgeable of your file and explains options and results clearly on a very personal level. He answers all of your questions. He is pragmatic and honest, looking at you directly with information. He has helped us with correct and prompt evaluations and sincere concern. We cannot recommend him highly enough.. Thank goodness he decided to come to our city!!
We are so blessed that Dr. Lyster choose our little town to relocate to from his former roots in Chicago. My breast cancer returned in 2011...this week I was able to take a break from my chemo treatments because my numbers are in the normal range. His treatment plan has given me the ability to live as normal a life as possible, and kept my cancer in control. 5 years later I am celebrating Christmas with my family. Also there is no doubt he cares. Thanks doc....
