My reason for doing bariatric surgery was not because it was medically necessary. My daughter needed a kidney! After having her son, my grandson, Lupus attacked her kidneys. She was on dialysis for 6 years and I seen it was getting harder for her. I didn't have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes. I was a big 279, 52 year old healthy woman. I’m not gonna brag but thanks to this Amazing surgeon MD Hibbard. He got me down to 48 percent of my body within 1 year. I love how dedicated he is to his job. I went from 299 to 151. I truly believe he has true surgical hands. I highly recommend any person that wants this surgery should go to him. The healing hands I would call him. What can I say but thank you Dr Hibbard in helping me reach a healthier life. Gastric bypass was the best decision I’ve made regarding my health. At my heaviest I was 269.4 lbs in April 2024 and right now in October 2025 I’m at 151.4 lbs and still losing 1 to 3 lbs a week. Dr. Hibbard was always and still there to answer questions for me.
It took me a long time to decide to have bariatric surgery. I had contemplated it for years and after many attempts to diet and exercise without the results I was looking for, I decided on the gastric sleeve.
