I was referred to this doctor after not being able to get in to see my orthopedic surgeon after a severe shoulder injury. I was desperate to see someone and even though I read the reviews on here I rook a shot. Talk about an absolute waste of money! This doctor(if you want to call him that) was extremely rude, and has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever come across. This doctor was a total waste. He does not listen, does not care,and spent 3 minutes in the room. Go to another doctor, read the ratings. Didn't listen about past stress xrays, complex regional pain syndrome diagnosis, and past problems.
not a great bedside manner at all, but he IS a good Dr. He is not QUICK to cut as most orthopeds are. He reviews the case and makes appropriate decisions. Too many physicians just want to cut. He feels there are required surgeries and others that are NOT required so he does not CUT to CUT. I do recommend him. Realize that he isn't always the friendliest--seems a little moody, but he's more than competent. I do recommend him!
as far as we are concerned, dr. kaveney is the best surgeon we have ever encountered. he operated on my husband and put in a new hip. his recuperation has been better than expected. his bedside manner we loved. he explained everything to us in terms we could understand. his staff is great and st. vincent's staff was one of the best. very attentive and helpful. we could not have asked for a better experience.
worse doctor in the world, he definatly works for workmans comp! seen him for six months and now released with no improvement or answers. HORRIBLE1!
This Dr, and I use the term lightly,is a quack and should be investigated for insurance fraud ! I saw him as the insurance company's " second opinion " because the Dr I was seeing said I needed surgery for a rotator cuff tear. I was driven 3 hours round trip for a 10 minute visit. All he did was wiggle my elbow and poke at my shoulder's ! He of course said I didn't need surgery . I saw him 3 more times and then he released me. I saw him after having two surgeries by another doctor. He dismissed me after 4 visits, but my knee is no better. He did not offer any recommendations. Stated that I had limited standing & walking, with no bending, stooping, or climbing. Yet, he released me! I don't think that he knew what to do, so he did nothing. I'm physically fit and only 49 years old. In his eyes, I guess I'm not entitled to anything near a quality of life. I am seeking further treatment with a reputable physician. Had ACL repaired, have been in contant problems since surgery. Doesn't want to listen to what I have to say. He'll make a great Governmental Surgeon under Obama's national health care.
