He was suppose to be the go to guy for eyelid surgery, but he ruined my eyes. I just wanted a little lift on my droopy eyelid. Instead my smooth eyelids crinkled up with several folds. Afterwards he said that is what happens with this type of surgery. Had he told me that, I would have never had had his surgery. He just blew me off. I have been to another surgeon to try to fix it, but it did not work. I am so angry.
My mom went to Dr. Groth because her legal secretary co-worker raved about him, saying he did celebrities, etc, and he only did eyes, so he was the best! I have to say he did a great job on my mom's eyes, but that was 15 years ago. When I decided to get my eyes done, just the wait to see him was a year. When I finally got my upper eyelid surgery, I was not happy. My eyes are still droopy and it doesn't look like I've had any work done, and not in a good way. Don’t bother. This has to have been the most obnoxious initial phone call I’ve ever made to a professional office. I was told that they were booked up even for the most basic consultation visits until January 2024. Then when I mentioned that I would be consulting for a revision for a procedure previously with another surgeon that had unsatisfactory results, I was told that this doctor “doesn’t do revisions“, except that he will “consider it after 10 years“.
