I recently saw Dr. Wierschem for the first time at the request of my primary doctor. Let me say, that I am impressed! After personally observing Dr. Wierschem laughing with and hugging several of his patients, I question the motivation and legitimacy of the unkind reviews he has received. I even watched him help a patient into his wheelchair. The wait time was about 20 minutes but as I watched Dr. Wierschem work and enjoy his patients, It was TOTALLY worth it. He spent an appropriate amount of time with me and was very thoro... read more

Dont know about the Dr, but his front office, specifically Cindy, is extremely RUDE. If she is ANY example of the Dr’s service... she scared me away. I went to the consult, was calling to get a detailed quote in writing, Cindy acted like that was absolutely crazy, why would I want to go to a doctor who is not capable of providing a treatment plan or quote in writing even more one who has ‘Cindy’s’ work ethic and customer service ability. I guess maybe Cindy just saved me from making a decision to go with her employer, provab... read more

Accurate diagnosis, takes time with you and explains every step very clearly. He actually cares for his patients. Office staff is accommodating and friendly.

Spends little time with patient; takes weeks to return calls with test results, unbelievably disconnected.

I went in for a kidney stone check up, and waited for 30 or so minutes, then took a urinalysis and blood pressure and gave the assistant my ct scan picture. Wierschem came in 30 minutes later and said in a nutshell, "You're good, it was a kidney stone". I was rushed out when I still needed to ask him questions. The whole thing was about 5 minutes. I would have paid $580 with no insurance for that, but paid about $50 with insurance for him to confirm what the ER did. I felt rushed and robbed.

FAILED VASECTOMY. Dr. Wierschem performed a vasectomy one me last year. I had a procedure for vericocele a few years prior with another doctor and was also diagnosed with low T. From day one I felt like Dr. Wierschem treated me like "somebody else's patient". His staff are consistently difficult to deal with. For the vasectomy he was nearly 2 hours late. He made me feel like a freak saying that my previous doctor left hundreds of tiny clips on the veins around my vase deferens. Worst experience

I felt like my dad’s issue was not important enough to him. He never really wanted to try and take out his catheter, in fact he even stated that was not important to him. I told him about a home health nurse that sees my dad and that they could do it if they had permission and basically all he said was he doubted they could take it out and that he would only be able to. Also good luck getting the office staff to call you back and be prepared to wait when you arrive. I have waited 2 hours!

All of Dr Wierschem staff are wonderful. Gloria, Bianca, Christina, Arita are professionals with added qualities that go above and beyond their jobs. Compassionate and understanding when you are in pain doing what they need to do to make your visit comfortable. Scheduling staff helpful, patient with filling out all those forms. Dr. Wiershem eased my fears about surgery for kidney stones, loved that he came in before surgery to visit. He came highly recommended and I am passing that forward.

Don't use Dr. Wierschem. The front office is a disaster, you will always spend a minimum of 30 minutes waiting, but I have never been seen before 1 hour. I called Monday because I had severe kidney pains and I needed to see the Dr. to get and X-ray and they fit me in after telling me they are booked for a month (trying to tell me they were doing me a favor) then I show up and im not on the schedule and I cannot see the doctor today. I'll never waste my time here again. They don't care.
