Never actually got an appointment to see the doctor. I requested an appointment via their web page and received a callback several days later. I have been having other health issues and missed 2 calls from the physician's new patient intake coordinator. I called the inpatient coordinator back when I was able on a Friday had she returned my call on Tuesday. She immediately attacked me for not responding to her previous calls and was rude had an attitude like she was inconvenienced and was doing me a favor. If this is the prev... read more
Dr Wierschem is an excellent physician. His work is superior. I prefer him to anyone else.
If you have cancer look elsewhere. Had CT prior to visiting Dr Wierschem. I had urethral kidney cancer. Within a two week period, I was told Dr Wierschem would schedule and install a temporary ureter, and would order an MRI for further diagnosis. Felt uncomfortable with this. Went to UTSouthwestern. In 2 weeks, had an MRI, indicating the kidney needed to be removed (didn’t put in a temporary ureter) a port put in for chemo, and had my first round of chemo in the same 2 week period. Quick and painless
Dr. Wierschem is straight forward and honest when discussing a patient's medical situation. He is always positive about the outcome.
I like the doctor's bedside manner. He is thoughtful and engagingly sincere. He listens to what I had to say, and he offers positive feedback. I think Dr. Wierschem is a very good doctor. However, it was painfully challenging communicating with his office, via telephone and it appears that it is impossible to communicate with the doctor via the online patient portal. The online portal does provide thorough medical information for the patient.
Not a big fan. After a vasectomy and three kidney stones, I’m logged in as a new patient because they upgraded their computer system. Then, I’m suppose to get a x-ray, and the front office doesn’t schedule it when I leave the office, they schedule it when I’m suppose to come back which is 3-4 weeks later. If I had a kidney stone, it would have passed by then.
Very professional. Spoke on future plan of monitoring my condition and the timeframe involved.
