I have gone to this Dr for over 20 years, during that time, he accurately has diagnosed my needs, followed up with tests to confirm the same. He is an excellent person to listen, diagnose and find you the correct treatment and or specialist for the situation. He has never let me or my referred friends down in any manner. Words to describe him and his ability.......PROFESSIONAL, ACCURATE AND TRUSTWORTHY.......just what I would trust my wellbeing to
Worst doctor in Tucson
If I could give 0 stars here, I would. As a doctor myself, I found Dr. Purkis to be unprofessional, unsanitary, with lack of proper medical knowledge.I had a cyst on my back that was hurting. Dr. Purkis, examined my back without wearing gloves, or even washing his hands. He also stated that it wasnt a cyst, but a small inflamed pimple on my back. Gave me antibiotics and dismissed me. I ended up in emergency room in extreme pain few days later, & was told that the cyst had to be removed asap!
Worst experience of my life, I would not go here if my life depended on it. Poor quality of care, unproffesional in all aspects. It is truly the best cookie cutter office they have in Tucson, Do not go here at all, I wouldn't if my life depended on it. Worst experience of my life. I do not think this guy knows what he is doing. Be careful when you go into this office, you may not come out.
In my experience (which has covered many years), Dr Purkis is the consummate doctor: he asks questions as well as listens to mine; he is thorough in explaining treatment options; and he has the knowledge of a medical detective. I highly recommend him and the friends I have recommended him to have nothing but positive things to say about him.
Zero is the rating I would give if they had it listed. I would not recommend to anyone see this arrogant and ignorant physician. Poor combination for a doctor! He does not listen to patients needs and is a poor provider. Don't waste your time and more importantly your precious health to this guy! Would never go to this clinic again!
Quality is poor. MAs arent certified. Asked to have my ear cleaned from wax buildup. She brought 4 cups of solution and a syringe the size of a turkey baster. The other did a blood draw that hurt bad, took 4 tubes for 4 tests. Dr Purkis told me my problems could be my gallbladder. Wrong..!! Wanted copies of records mailed. Told 5.00 a page! This office is filled with hacks.
My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Purkis since the early 80's. I can't begin to tell how many times he and his staff have gone the extra mileS to help us. Now, as we get older, our health problems grow more serious and urgent. Dr. Purkis is always available when needed. He LISTENS to our complaints and acts accordingly. I can't think of anything more to ask of a family practitioner. Highly recommended.
