Dr. Hsu was an excellent choice for me. My gallbladder was full of sludge and stones and working at only 13%. Dr. Hsu explains everything using easy-to-understand language and pictures. The day of surgery went as planned. The day after surgery Dr. Hsu (the doctor, not a staff member) called me at home to see if I was okay, and if I had any questions or concerns. Friendly doctor and friendly staff. There's just not enough space here to write all I want to say! A+ doctor. Thank you Dr. Hsu!
Dr. Paley is professional, thorough and efficient. He tells it to you like it is and I appreciate that. I've been with Dr. Paley for ten years and we have a great relationship, and oh yea, I'm skin cancer free!
Wonderful! Dr. Hsu helped me by operating on me. I had a hernias. Dr. Hsu was very good and I was pleased with all that he did. I can't thank him enough for helping me.

100%! I found Dr. Hsu to be simply outstanding! He has excellent communication skills and has been incredibly patient answering all of my questions. He also does a wonderful job communicating where you are in the healing process and what you can expect moving forward. I do not believe I could find a more understanding and concerned general surgeon. Needless to say, I highly recommend Dr. Hsu to any patient needing general surgery.
The only reason for the 2 stars was availability and lack of wait time in the office. Otherwise, I can not recommend this doctor. He spent at the most 5 minutes barely gave me an opportunity to ask any questions, and his treatment plan was out dated. My GP did a better job.
Recently, Dr Hsu did a colon resection due to cancer Dx. I found him to be so respectful of the doctor/ patient relationship. So confident in the surgical experience and thoroughly able to explain prognosis, outcome and recovery. He is a pleasure to talk with at the hospital and in his office. He gives you his time. No rushing. He collaborates well with the team of doctors you have in your treatment, PCP, GI, Cardio etc. I would wholeheartedly recommend him. I'm recovering well !!!
Looking for a great surgeon? Dr. Hsu is one of them. Not just from the operations he did on me(gallbladder removal and repair of umbilical hernia), but his reputation in the community is that he does great work.
My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Hsu for a hernia. Because of a pending adventure vacation, I was a bit under the gun time wise. Dr. Hsu not only made time to see me, but scheduled my surgery so that my vacation would not have to be altered. The surgery went exactly as he said it would (no surprises) and I would, without hesitation, recommend Dr. Hsu to anyone needing hernia attention.
