Awesome Surgeon. Great guy.
I would strongly urge anyone considering getting their surgery for hip or any other related surgery to reconsider going to Michael Banffy. My wife had arthroscopic hip surgery performed by this doctor in 2023 with less than stellar results. After my wife’s surgery, she was given ambiguous postoperative physical therapy care instructions which I believe greatly affected her outcome in a negative manner. I appreciate Dr. Banffy not only for what he did to my shoulder - but for what he didn't do. When I went in for surgery 6 months ago - the MRI indicated that I would see a full shoulder repair. When Dr. Banffy went in - he decided against it and went for a less invasive procedure. I remember why he made that call - he said that if he was operating on himself - that is the route he would have taken. It means a lot that he treated me in such a thoughtful way. Dr Bannfy is an excellent physician. One of the best in Los Angeles.
I have no way of knowing how good Dr Banffy is, I have been trying to get an appointment for a month. I was asked to send in my MRI and PT reports, both were submitted repeatedly, yet I was told not received. I've been told Dr Banffy is the best, and I believe it, so I persevered to ensure they received what was asked for. I was told Dr. Banffy has a strict protocal of who he will see based on the MRi and PT reports and the age limit was 60 years, I understand, no problem.
