We visited tonight and despite the waitress serving the entire restaurant by herself (she did have a guy man assisting with bringing food and drinks) it was quick, courteous service. The waitress checked in with us multiple times letting us know where she was with our order. I did not catch our waitresses name but she was fantastic. The food was quickly served after ordering and it was amazing! It was fresh and authentic. I cannot wait to visit again!!
Tried tacos and tamales while at the taste of dubuque. Wonderful! Moving from California to Iowa it has been tough trying to find good authentic Mexican food. Can't wait to visit the actual restaurant to try more.
Sorry you think the serving sizes are small.I had a burrito as large as my forearm for $10. Food was damn good and quantities where on point. From Kalona and would definitely be back again.

Lackluster at best. Expensive for the quality and portion size. Both salsas supplied with the chips were nearly flavorless and either hot or hotter. Tough "steak" in the fajitas, making them messy to eat wrapped in bland, fragile corn (flour not being an option) tortillas. A handful of chopped cilantro is a poor substitute for actual "seasoning". The only real Mexican food in town! The only Mexican restaurant I will eat at while visiting Dubuque.
Was driving around Dubuque trying to find a really good place to have a lunch date with my husband & found this place... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Great food & great service! Best meal I've had in a long time. Will definitely make the hour drive to come back here again. Homemade Guacamole was to die for!
This place is hands down the best restaurant in town. I highly highly recommend this place, the owner is awesome as well.
The food is amazing! Drinks amazing! Then the owner talks us into dessert! I have no complaints! Cannot wait to eat there again! Great food and great company!
