Well I hate to hear one friend had a bad experience and some of those other reviews are entertaining for sure, but I like Mezamiz overall, and a couple of my awesome homies work here so this joint is officially 5 stars now. They're always nice! Idk who the old cranker is that other reviews are referring to but I'll poke her in the eye for y'all if I see her. 😃
This is one of those local businesses that is really a private religious community that is monitored very closely and believed to be a children's religious venue. The "elderly customers," do in fact know the names of the various customers and discuss the various patrons with the owner, a very conservative group of priests, Catholic groups, elderly women's groups, etc.
Elderly women knew my name each time I visited and discussed me publicly for hours. It's privately owned by a religious group that entertains primarily older gentlemen for a supervised "coffee with daddy," learning experience.
