New Owners? – I used to go to Mexican Radio at least once a month, usually on the weekends, but often during the week when the place felt much more like a neighborhood haunt- friendly service, comforting high-quality food, strong drinks... not having been in about 6 months i was shocked to see that the place has gone almost completely down the toilet. none of the above qualities seemed to apply on my most recent visit- the service was piss-poor and came mostly from new faces, the place was dirty, and the general warm, good s... read more

Luscious Margaritas! – My girlfriend and I stopped into Mexican Radio after a day heavy Soho Shopping! The bar is a great place for girls to hangout and cool down! The bartenders are SUPER friendly - I had a fresh Watermelon Margarita and my friend had the Pomegranate.... we also shared the Guacamole and Crispy Chicken Tacos - very tasty! Fun atmosphere, high quality food and drinks. This is the real deal!

SoHo's best kept secret. Enjoy! – Friends of mine kept telling me about this place in Soho called Mexican Radio. Not one to usually go out of my way for typical Mexican food, I put off going until last Friday. We were completely blown away by the whole experience. The margaritas were easily the best I've had, the food came quickly and was every thing I missed about REAL Mexican home cooking. Service was friendly and knew their stuff. The chocolate chimi dessert is big, but definitely a must. The crowd there is definitely rel... read more

Terrible Sangria! Average food. – I ate at MR about 5 or 6 years ago. The only thing I remember about my experience was that I never want to return. I don't recall why, just that I never want to return. Well, I went back there with a friend for dinner after she decided she did not feel like seafood at the Lobster Bar. I also had a hankering for some fajitas and MR was the closest place to get fajitas knowing that I knew I didn't like my previous experience. I figured some time has passed, maybe they're not as bad as i rememb... read more

Great Service, Decent Mexican – The food here is good, maybe just decent. We ordered the Nachos which were impressive, though the portions were fairly small. We also had the three tacos which came with ground beef rather than steak, I sadly didn't see a steak option. Tacos were average to good. The service, however was great, the waiter and bartender were both extremely friendly and recommended which dishes to order. I would come back with a large group, the drinks looked great, but for myself or a smaller group i'd rather g... read more

Amazing, Best margaritas hands down – 8 of us went in Last Friday and it was crazy busy, the hostess let us know that the wait would be awhile but that it would be way worth it. We waited for what seemed like 15 minutes and totally had the best time. Our waitress was pleasant and the food was outstanding. The prices were a little high, but the food was seriously was that good!!! YOu should definitely make a reservation and try the cajun burrito!!!!!!! Amazing

Rock on – Never have I been able to find another place this side of the Rio that serves the amazing, authentic food that I find at Mexican Radio in NY. A group of friends and myself went last night and had the tastiest meal any of us have had in a long time. The margaritas were great, the service was friendly and efficient and the manager took the time to thank us for coming. Dessert is also a must have! Sit back, relax, enjoy!

With a new, expanded Nolita location, New Yorkers get even more of a good thing. – The Scene The once-closet-sized Mexican Radio has moved to become a full-blown restaurant with a large bar area and two floors of seating. Thankfully, even in a larger space, Mexican Radio retains its intimate and unique feel. The Food The menu consists of an "autentica" array of Mexican dishes, including some of the best guacamole in the city. Be sure not to miss out on the refined and tasty margaritas. All in all, an unpretentious but modish... read more

So overrated, I'm angry that I'm still angry – I'm writing this review as a way to try and get over just how much I regret eating here last Saturday night. I'll just nail the basics: -My dish, of a chicken chimichanga was so salty I could barely eat it. How can a mexican restaurant screw up a chimichanga? And the guacamole was beyond bland. -The service was miserable. I have many years of service experience in Manhattan, and I'm normally very sympathetic to a server's plight. But our waitress was surly, rude, and didn't flas... read more
