About this business
In 2001 Metzger's re-opened at its current location on Zeeb Road. The restaurant seats 189 people inside and also offers outdoor seating in our Biergarten. We still serve the same great food in a European atmosphere and the family tradition is still alive and well. The current owner John Metzger works multiple nights a week and his parents Walter and Ruth still enjoy dining at the restaurant throughout the week.

It is ALWAYS a treat get to eat real German Food at Metzger’s. We really love the schnitzel but have never had a bad meal. Service has always been good and welcoming. ���
It was some of the best German food I have had. We will also be stopping in again as we will be down that way next week but I will also be telling all my family about this little gem of a restaurant we also had great service.
We drive to Metzgers from Northwood Ohio. I’d say that’s a testament to how good the food is. When ever we’re in the area we try to eat there. The food is always excellent and the service is courteous and helpful. I would recommend if your in the area stop in great food and almost too big portions.
Love this place! We were seated and served promptly! Everything I’ve ordered each time visiting from the Toledo area has been delicious.

Just the best Sauerbraten & Spatzen anywhere.... and I've been to Germany! And, a huge pour of Warsteiner Dunkel to wash it down. Delicious!
