About this business
In 2001 Metzger's re-opened at its current location on Zeeb Road. The restaurant seats 189 people inside and also offers outdoor seating in our Biergarten. We still serve the same great food in a European atmosphere and the family tradition is still alive and well. The current owner John Metzger works multiple nights a week and his parents Walter and Ruth still enjoy dining at the restaurant throughout the week.

Our first visit - we stopped on a whim. The food was delicious, our waitress was fantastic! We will definitely be back!!

First visit in 1961 while in college. We return to Ann Arbor every year from our home in Baton Rouge, and always stop in for a meal at our favorite restaurant. The food is always great.
I always hated sauerkraut and wouldn't eat it, until I had it here. I went for seconds. A delicious new experience. (Everything was delicious) Vielen Dank!
Service was outstanding, but the food was very disappointing and not authentic.
We try to stop every time we go to U&M CANCER CENTER.
