Doctor Collins is a dangerous man who will threaten to cause physical harm and detox punitively instead of therapeutically. He was my doctor for the last 3 years and I could not get help to get a proper titration but he was willing to punitively detox me twice. Once while a complaint was being formally submitted by CBH. If you want help you can get help. If you just want methadone you can get that too. All programs are what you make of them really. As with any other MMT facility you get what you put into it. I would reccommend an IOP program for someone who has never been on an MMT program before coming to JFK because groups can really help someone get back on a regular schedule.
