If you want help you can get help. If you just want methadone you can get that too. All programs are what you make of them really. As with any other MMT facility you get what you put into it. I would reccommend an IOP program for someone who has never been on an MMT program before coming to JFK because groups can really help someone get back on a regular schedule.
