I eat there often and highly recommend the steaks.
Love Mesquite Pit. Food is always excellent and consistent. Staff is so friendly.
We ate on a Sat evening about 5:30. They took us right to a table & service was super quick. The food was all delicious & generous portions on our 2 meat plate & smoked ham plate. We got desserts to go. Hubby didn’t enjoy the blackberry cobbler very much. My cheesecake was some of the best I’ve eaten but the portion was smaller than most restaurants.
Went to army helicopter school there & try to stop when passing through area. Found mesquite pit couple years ago & is awesome! Try something different each time & always great! The service was as good as the service! The meat is cooked, not drowned in sauce! Easy to get to & well worth the stop! 👍🏻
I got the special Bar B Q plate with beans and French fries and it was excellent.
Mesquite Pit in Mineral Wells is not the best I've been to. But, it's far from the worst. All I had this visit was an appetizer and beer. It was very good and hit the spot. The staff are always friendly.
