I usually rent through AirBnB but the last 2 years have rented through Meredith Lodging thinking I was doing them a solid. We had a reservation for August and we needed to cancel (giving them 8 months of notice). They charged a 30% fee for canceling! I will never use them again especially when I know for a fact they will rent the house out for the time we had it. All of their properties are on AirBnB. I recommend going through AirBnB where you can cancel without a penalty. Do not go through them!!!

I booked a 35th anniversary getaway for me and my wife just over a month ago. About a week ago my wife fell ill and had to be rushed to the hospital with congestive heart failure. She spent a week in the hospital, during that time I called to cancel and get a refund or credit towards a future stay due to the circumstances. My two friends and I rented a home called the Beach Haven, Reservation #8113944 for 3 nights in Arch Cape, Oregon. We had made the reservation about 8 months prior to our arrival and were very excited about the house and the location. My girlfriends and I arrived at the "Beach Haven" property for a 3 night stay. When we arrived, we found that the exterior of the home looked a little neglected. There were dead hanging plants - like the place hadn't been used for a while. We also found that our key code did not work. My friend was on the phone for at least 20 minutes trying to resolve this - not sure what the mix up was, or why it was so complicated. Meredith Lodging operating in Oregon.  I rented a home in Arch Cape called the Beach Haven managed by Meredith Lodging Excitement about the location of the home right on the beach and in a quaint neighborhood was quickly overtaken by severe allergic reactions of 2 members of our group within the first 30-40 minutes of being in the home. I WISH I had seen all the negative reviews of this company BEFORE I booked with them! I rented a home in Arch Cape called the Beach Haven managed by Meredith Lodging for myself and 3 friends to enjoy our annual get together. arrived just before 4pm and our space was parked in by cleaners. Called the main office and they couldn’t get a hold of the cleaners but called back after we were suppose to check in and said the cleaners had finished the room a long time ago…yeah NO. They were in the room when we pulled up. Unloaded the car and tried to get in, no key in the lockbox. Worst experience ever! Kitchen wasn’t working and they kept saying they’d send maintenance. Nothing happened and pipes stayed frozen so finally had to cut trip short due to cabin kitchen not working. Mt. Hood office and manager Cari ghosted us for over 3 weeks and still won’t give a proper refund.I will never use this company again. They obviously don’t care about the customer or repeat business.

We stayed at one of their properties in Mt Hood and had a pretty nightmare experience. We had to evacuate the house at 9:30 PM because the Carbon Monoxide alarm was going off. The fire department showed up 45 minutes later to scan the house and recommended we not stay at the house. The worst part of this was that this was the second time it happened at this property in a month. The fireman were asking the property owner if any steps had been taken since the last time.
