This was my 6th time to stay there. I always enjoy my visits. People are friendly and courteous, and The hotel is clean and well kept. Only problems with this visit were the bartender that ignored me, and the hair that was left behind in the shower. Small details to an otherwise wonderful weekend with my wife in my favorite hotel in San Antonio!
This was my 2nd stay at the Menger and just like my first time it was wonderful! The staff there are all so incredibly nice. This time around I chatted with one of the breakfast cooks, Manuel and he was awesome and he's a great cook as well! Waffles and eggs! I plan to stay here again next year.
Loved it! Had a ghostly encounter! So worth the money! We would go back again for sure!

The Menger is a wonderful hotel steeped in history. You can spend a few hours walking through the hotel and the grounds. Your are steps away from the Alamo and the Riverwalk. We had a couple of rough nights due to our noisy neighbors, but the front desk manager, Diego, heard and made sure we didn't have neighbors on our last nigh there. The staff is friendly and take the extra steps to ensure a pleasant visit.
