Are your service connected injuries not in the computer for your doctor to see? I've seen 4 primary care doctors connected with this hospital and not one has asked me about my injuries. No followups at all. I have back problems and now neck problems. I was practically paralyzed on my right side and I had to practically demand to see a neurosurgeon. He looked at my neck and said nothing was wrong. I went to a private neurosurgeon and had to have three disks fused and have two more that must be watched. Now still have some pro... read more
One star is way too high. This place will kill you faster than a gang bullet in th hood.
I want to know why my C&P appointments were cancelled. I showed up on the time and date I was ordered to go. I called and told whoever was on the phone about my situation. Whoever it was didn't care about it and hung up and stated that there was nothing they could do.. If I can't depend on the VA to get the benefits that I fought for, then who can I depend on? You know what, I've given up on you. You're not worth my time. I feel so sorry for the older veterans who've died under your care. You make me sick.
Have had the worst experience at this hosp been exposed to C-dif. Don't get meds on time. Had a sweet surprise when moved to 4th floor container of dirty laundry that made me gag. Now in room with patient who is up all night yelling his kids names up till 3:30 last night and he has been acting up for long time finally got meds!!!were supposed to b moved but still here!! How do u get well if u can't rest????
Don't know why they even make appointments when you have to sit here all day
The reason I gave 4 stars, is that I have never had any issues with vamc Memphis, my Dr.s or the clinics I am seen in, save one. The ER is a nightmare to be seen and treated in. I actually have seen veterans who needed immediate attention who were waiting in the reception area. My average wait time in the past 12 hours or more. I suspect this issue is going to finally get fixed, considering the controversy that the VA's ER in Memphis is experiencing.
